Autograph letter signed from David Garrick to Mr. Moody, at the Theatre, Liverpool [manuscript], 1775 August 11.

Would like him to give up Ben [in Love for love, by Congreve] and strengthen the play by doing Sir Sampson. Asks if he has ever heard of Mrs. Siddons who was strolling about somewhere near him. Drury Lane Theatre will delight his eyes. Miss Pope had left. Mr. Brereton has played him a whimsical trick.
